Investigating or Dating?

A challenge! MeiFeng always did love a challenge, perhaps that was why she was doing what she was currently doing. She had overheard two of the newer pups on the ranch discussing their recent venture into the forbidden lab, when she grew excited. A forbidden lab? It sounded so intriguing that the double legendary hybrid was all but jumping at the chance. She had decided that she too would have to inspect this eerie place.

It was night now and there was hardly a soul around, save for the pokemon she had dragged along.

“Alright Harps, you think you can keep those flames of yours under control long enough for a stealth mission?”

The mew hybrid next to her gave her a raised eyebrow before giving her a nod.

“Excellent! Then here is the plan” MeiFeng began, “we are going to go in and see what this scientist has going on behind those closed doors.”

Harpy gave his new friend a nod. This much was obvious.

“When we get inside, see if you can find anything of interest! After all we may as well do some investigation since we are here!”

Before the fiery mew could respond, the rash raikou hybrid had latched onto his hand had begun to drag him towards a vent.

“Oh! As much as I love your warmth, try and not toast me while we are in the vent.”

Harpy gave MeiFeng a sour look before immediately rolling his eyes.

“I'll try my best not to.”

Her fiery orange blazing, the duo headed into the vents slinking silently towards the middle of the building.

“Hey now! What do we have here?” the electric hybrid whispered.

As quietly as she could, MeiFeng opened a vent that led into a large room with a large ray gun.

“Well well, this is certainly something” she mused, looking back towards Harpy.

The moltres/mew hybrid seemed just as curious as his jovial friend, but his fur was slightly on edge since he was also taking caution.

“Whoa! Hey Harpy, come check this out!”

Harpy’s attention snapped back to MeiFeng as she lifted an odd case up holding several different beakers and vials of assorted liquids.

“So, what do you think they do?”

“Not sure.” Harpy confessed. “If I had to guess though it looks like stuff you might use to alter one’s physiology.”

“Really?” MeiFeng’s face erupted into a mischievous grin. “Perhaps further analysis is needed.”

With a flick of her wrist MeiFeng teleported her finds home.

“What do you say we get out of here before anyone comes back?”

Harpy gave a hesitant nod, not quite sure how he felt about the fact that MeiFeng had just stolen, but before he could begin to protest the sound of heavy footsteps caught his attention. MeiFeng gave a terse look towards the door before turning back to her fiery beau. Just as the doorknob to the room began to open she grabbed onto him tightly and used her psychic energy to teleport the two of them back to her den. Still clutching tightly to Harpy, the two exchanged a small chortle, while Harpy merely shook his head, thinking about how they had narrowly escaped.
