The warm sunshine was accompanied by a well placed murmur of delight. Three Pokemon, Angel’s Aura, Kurama, and Neo, were perusing the lush greenery that covered the foreign landscape. Both Tori and Ayumi had decided to visit their cousin in Sinnoh for Easter. The sights the past few days had been filled with colorful signs oozing of bright pastel colors while children talked about the Easter Bunnelby.  However, today was not quite as cheerful as the atmosphere claimed. Tori had been contacted by her friend, a pokemon ranger named Dante, informing her that a nefarious team had planned on robbing some pokemon eggs from the nearby daycare center. Before panic could set in, she was comforted as she received word that the eggs that had been stolen were for the Easter egg hunt that was set to occur later that day. Relief was short lived as Dante continued to explain the situation. While the pokemon eggs hadn’t been stolen, they had accidentally been the eggs to be hidden for that day’s festivities.

That led to everyone’s current position. Tori had gone ahead of Ayumi wishing her sister luck and taking a few pokemon with her to aid in her search. With Tori well ahead of the three straggling pokemon, Aura gave a contented mewl.

“The weather is simply beautiful today!”

She received a confirmatory harrumph from the eevee next to her who seemed to be trying to ignore everyone in the immediate area.

“Couldn’t agree more with ‘ya!”

Thankfully Neo was far more friendly and engaging. Neo bounded forward just ahead of her Carbink/Eevee friend, showing off as she kept up pace, but turned to face Aura.

“So it’s been awhile since we spotted anything….” Neo noted thoughtfully, “Perhaps we should focus our attention on different areas?”

“No. That would only get us lost.”

Finally the more stoic member of the group spoke up. Kurama’s steely blue eyes bored into the chocolate brown of his comrade’s. Angel gave a soft sigh, putting her bejeweled forepaw to her forehead out of habit to try and figure out a solution. Neo gabbed at Kurama trying to get their cohort to cheer up.

“Why are you always so grumpy? You really need to cheer up or your constant frown is going to distance you from others!”

There was a vague mumble from the grey eevee about wanting to be alone, but Neo seemed to ignore it as a sudden gust whipped through the brush and a larger smile over took her face.

“Polaris!”

Neo dashed over to the Charizard Umbreon hybrid, affectionately rubbing against him. The eeveelutionary hybrid gave a smirk as he reciprocated the younger ‘vee’s affection with a firm pat on her head.

“What’s up kiddos?”

Polaris saw Aura and Kurama grimace at being referred to as children, but continued on.

“I caught sight of two eggs from the sky and thought I’d alert you to them as soon as I could.”

“Excellent! Then, by all means, lead the way!”

The quartet of pokemon ventured deeper into the lush foliage of the dense forest, as Polaris’s rings glowed to shed some light to their pathways. A few ghost pokemon scuttled about, and a clan of paras gave them a scrutinizing glare.

“So where are these eggs?” Kurama growled, growing impatient and anxious as they had long since lost sight of Tori.

“Up ahead your Majesty.” Polaris quipped, motioning his firey tail towards a bush.

Neo and Aura edged closer carefully, a fortuitous move on their part as a swarm of angry beedrill erupted out from behind it. Polaris shot a warning flame burst in their direction trying to intimidate the angry poison/bug types. A particularly large beedrill reciprocated his fire with a sludge attack that nailed Aura and sent the eevee/carbink hybrid flying.

Kurama charged forward angrily as he flew in with a quick attack. While Polaris and Kurama went on the offensive, Neo rushed to her fallen friend. Poison was spreading through Aura and her bright blue gems seemed tarnished as a flush of purple appeared on her face. Although only part fairy type, poison was a nasty thing for her kind, and it was obvious she wasn’t handling it well. Being so far away from a pokemon center was dangerous, and Tori wasn’t around with any sort of healing items.

Aura hissed as she tried to stand, her efforts in vain as the poison continued to weaken her. Neo was racking her brain, desperate to come up with some sort of solution. She had been practicing a move, but she feared what would happen if she failed. Gritting her teeth she realized she had to at least try and began to gather energy in her body. A bell appeared and released a calming melody over the convulsing hybrid. Traces of the poison disappeared, but Aura refused to wake up.

A blast of fire caught her attention as Polaris sent off a giant fire blast towards the large beedrill, finally securing a victory. The swarm of beedrill flitted away to undoubtedly nurse their wounds, while the umbreon charizard hybrid eagerly went to retrieve the eggs he had found.

“Hey grumpy gus, you wanna carry back Aura for us?”

Polaris motioned with his tail towards the fallen fairy hybrid while Kurama did his best to hoist his fallen comrade on his back.

“Gah, she’s like a ton of bricks!”

“Hey! Don’t say that about a lady! They are sensitive about their weight!” Neo jibed.

While the group couldn’t say that this had been a good mission, they had at least secured their objective and could finally head back.

Angel's Aura, Neo, Kurama and Polaris all tag team to find some pokemon eggs.
